“Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch another human soul, be just a human soul.”
- Carl Jung
My Approach
I believe everyone is capable of healing and I feel called to provide a warm, safe, and inviting space while walking alongside people in their healing journey. I have worked with individuals from ages 4 all the way to 80, and my passion is working with teens and adult women. I have experience working with individuals who are dealing with various issues such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, substance abuse, self-esteem issues, grief and loss, suicidal ideation, self-harm and women’s issues. I have worked with populations including minorities and LGBTQ+ people. I have a passion for working with diverse populations, especially BIPOC, young adults, and adult women.
As people are dynamic individuals, I believe in drawing from different treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Though counseling can be hard work, I believe in making it enjoyable and love to find ways to corporate clients’ interests into therapy. As a believer in Christ, I am willing to incorporate one’s Christian beliefs or other spiritual beliefs in their counseling. My goal is to assist individuals with developing compassion for themselves while finding their own intrinsic ability to heal and gently challenging them to make the positive changes they seek for their lives!
